2nd Tanzania Oil & Gas Congress Industry Awards

The Tanzania Oil & Gas Congress is proud to commemorate companies and individuals who have not only reached a high standard, but also stood out for actively contributing to the development of the oil and gas industry in Tanzania in the past few years.

An impartial jury composed by experts in the industry will then analyse all nominations and reasoning then decide who contributed most to each criteria. The winners will be announced just before the Congress and the Awards Ceremony will take place during the event.

Award Categories:

International Company of the Year Award

The International Company of the Year Award will be awarded for the first time to an international company in the energy sector, which has stood out during the previous 12 months, and contributed commercially or technically to the advancement of the oil & gas industry in Tanzania.

  • Innovation – through business innovation and creativity, the organisation that has made a positive change in the industry
  • Activities – the organisation that made an excellent contribution to the industry in Tanzania and proved to be an industry leader in any specific part of the oil and gas value chain
  • Knowledge – through people development, the organisation that expanded knowledge and learning in the commercial or technical aspects of the oil and gas sector

Tanzanian Company of the Year Award

The Tanzanian Company of the Year Award will be awarded for the first time to a national company that stood out in the previous 12 months and contributed commercially or technically to the advancement of the oil and gas sector:

  • Innovation – through business innovation and creativity, the organisation that has made a positive change in the industry
  • Activities – the organisation that made an excellent contribution to the industry in Tanzania and proved to be a local leader in any specific part of the oil and gas industry
  • Knowledge – through people development, the organisation that expanded knowledge and learning in the business or technical aspects of the oil and gas industry

Local Content Champion of the Year Award

The Local Content Champion of the Year Award will go to an individual or a company who stood out for promoting local content initiatives, or actively contributing to knowledge transfer, capacity building and opening up opportunities for locals:

  • Championing – ideas and new solutions to ensure local content is a priority and a reality in the energy sector
  • Inspiring – a company or individual which through their recent activities promoted local content and inspired others to do the same
  • Implementing – a company or individual who implemented specific measures or solutions to promote the advancement of local content and ensure they buy local services and products
